Compass Young Producers Scheme 2016

The Compass Young Producers scheme offers recent graduates from northern universities and colleges aged 18-24 the chance to train and gain experience in all areas of contemporary arts festival production. The 2016 scheme builds upon the great success of a similar scheme for the last Compass Festival in 2014.

We had a terrific response to our call out for applications and the standard of applications was very high - be in no doubt that there are highly talented and motivated graduates out there. We were able to choose 5 fantastic people for the scheme who will now receive a bursary and training through hands-on placements with the festival directors, workshops and master classes with festival artists and partners and one to one mentoring over the course of six months.

Our 2016 Young Producers are Alice Boulton-Breeze, Helen Caulfield, Eleanor Gribbin, Robyn Haddon and Amy Lawrence.

A wider aim of our scheme is to encourage intelligent and passionate young people to remain in the region supporting the very best in contemporary arts practice. We look forward to our journey with the latest cohort of talented Young Producers.
