After its premier at Compass Festival 2014, If You Go Away has relaunched and this is what people are saying about it.
Hannah Nicklin has written three critical responses to If You Go Away, by Invisible Flock, here is the first. A new one will come out next Friday.
Leeds-based Invisible Flock have been making work since 2009. They are Ben Eaton, Victoria Pratt and Richard Warburton, who between them come from a theatre, film and visual arts background, and make work with ‘co-authorship’ at its heart. Working with audiences, not just presenting work to them: interactive in some shape or form but (refreshingly) with a note of caution about what it means when we talk about ‘interaction’. Eaton explains that they don’t tend to use the word ‘interaction’, rather they talk about being “interested in empowering audiences” – that in some way their work offers an audience a way to affect it...
