Point Blank and The Riverside

Point Blank is a charitable arts organisation working across South Yorkshire supporting the performing arts in our region. Point Blank bought The Riverside in 2009, realising a long held dream of owning its own arts and entertainment venue. Point Blank's projects include; producing new work platforms; developing touring infrastructure; providing artists with the capacity to create; and giving audiences & the wider community better opportunities to engage.

Opportunities 

As well as volunteering and internship opportutnies Point Blank also offer:

• Performance Republic; The Performance Republic Touring Network mailing list is now open! Input your name and email and you'll be kept up-to-date on South Yorkshire's new touring network Makeshift.
• Free and Subsidised space; The spaces on offer come in all shapes and sizes: suitable for rehearsal, office, performance, meetings or storage.
• South Yorkshire Dance Hub; Point Blank are one of the lead partner organisations for the South Yorkshire Dance Hub, funded by Yorkshire Dance. Each sub-regional hub is a partnership of local organisations, artists and agencies that have an interest and work in youth dance.
• Interactions; Interactions is an artist development project, which Point Blank are partners of, led by a group of 5 experienced artists who make socially-engaged performance work and are based across the North West and in Yorkshire. Following a period of research together, they lead two public Mini-symposiums on themes and issues currently arising from this key area of contemporary practice.
