Since 2011 Compass has delivered a variety of professional development opportunities for live artists in Yorkshire and northern England. This year we made an open call for an artist or artist group to propose a year-long programme of initiatives, events and activities that support regional artists while contributing to the lead artists’ own practice and concerns. We think that artist development led by artists will create a mutually beneficial learning. This year we have selected Invisible Flock who expressed an interest in mentoring artists, exploring what is meant by socially engaged practice and sharing digital skills. They are now ready to announce the first events in this year’s programme. So get your diaries out and take a look.
