Taking Our Bearings is an event for programmers, curators, academics, producers and practitioners who are interested in developing infrastructure, programming, professional development and audiences for live art in the region. 

We're pleased to announce that the regional speakers are Dr Helen Pheby (curator) on Yorkshire Sculpture Park's Live Art Programme and OUI Performance on Action Art Now. 

The event includes:

· Updates on the sector's activity in the last year and looking to future planning

· Speakers on regional live art programming in 2011-12

· Presentations and discussion on Compass Live Art's programming plans

· Discussion on international projects and developing partnerships to achieve this
